Vivian Louise Melton

Graveside services for Vivian Louise Melton, 54, of Peggs, were held Friday, September 12, 2003, at 2:00pm in the New Home Cemetery, Peggs. Pastor Harry Jackson officiated, with services under the direction of the Locust Grove Funeral Home.

Mrs. Melton was born February 14, 1949, in Tulsa, to Don and Natalie (Simpson) Heath. She grew up in the Tulsa area, attending school in Sapulpa. She married Ronnie Melton in Vinita, and came to the Peggs area in 1978. She was mainly a homemaker, but she also enjoyed working at Greg’s Git-N-Split in Locust Grove. She also loved camping and being outdoors, and especially spending time with her grandkids. She was of the Baptist faith. She passed from this life on Tuesday, September 9, 2003, in Pryor.

She is survived by her husband Ronnie Melton of the home; three sons, Don L.E. Heath of Tulsa, R.D. Melton, Ken and wife Amanda Melton, all of Locust Grove; mother Natalie Probis of Tulsa; father Don Heath of El Reno; brother Donnie and wife Claudia Heath of Seattle, Washington; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by one brother, Don Eugene Heath; and her step-father Charles Probis.
