Services for
Ruby Inez Beavers, 71, of Locust Grove, were held Saturday, August 30,
2003, at 10:00am in the Locust Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Rev.
Richard Pickup officiated, with interment following in the Ballou
Cemetery. Services were under the direction of the Locust Grove
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Beavers was born November 13, 1931, in Briartown, Oklahoma, to Opal and Lura (Sumpter) Andrews. She grew up and attended school in the Fort Gibson area. She came to the Locust Grove area in 1961 from Muskogee, where she had spent most of her previous years. She married James Beavers, Jr., on January 21, 1963, in Stigler. She was a homemaker, and she loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, and listening to music. She was of the Baptist faith. She passed from this life on Wednesday, August 27, 2003, in Tulsa. She is survived by her husband James Beavers, Jr. of the home; four sons, Larry and wife Tammie Beavers, Donnie and wife Maria Heinrichs, Tony and wife Sherry Heinrichs, all of Muskogee, and J.B. and wife Marilyn Staley of Ohio; two daughters, Keri Willis of Locust Grove, Carolyn and husband Jackie Todd of Porter; three brothers, John and wife Sharon Andrews, Leroy and wife Ann Andrews, Jerry and wife Leah Andrews, all of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Betty and husband Larry Martinez, Kathy and husband W.T. Archer all of Oklahoma City, Ronnia and husband Troy Manasco of Bixby; sister-in-law LuAnn Andrews of Oklahoma City; 24 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by both parents; four sisters, Imogene, Mary, Patricia, and Lura; two brothers, Richard and Bill; and an infant son, James. |
