Jonathan Lee (Graves) Dawson

Jonathan Lee (Graves) Dawson, the son of Joe D. and Jonnie (Fox) Dawson, was born July 14, 1974, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  He departed this life on Friday, March 4, 2005, in Catoosa, at the age of 30 years, 7 months, and 18 days.

Jonathan was a 1992 graduate of Locust Grove High School.  He was a lifetime resident of the Locust Grove area and had been baptized at His Way Fellowship Church.  He was a very hard worker having the ability to complete most any job he faced.  He was able to weld, be a mechanic, do carpentry, roof, be a loader operator, be a automotive painter, drive a truck, be a refract operator, and be a crane operator.  He was a dedicated and diligent employee, currently working for Catoosa Fertilizer at the Port of Catoosa.

Jonathan was also a terrific and kind hearted person, always giving to people.   Any friend of his was considered family.   He was also a lover of Karaoke, always having fun.  He loved his family, friends, and coworkers dearly, and enjoyed the time spent with them.  Jonathan will be missed dearly.

He is survived by: 2 daughters: Britany Graves of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Francis Millspaugh of Peggs, Oklahoma; his parents: Joe and Jonnie Dawson of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; his fiancé`: Angel Taylor of the home; 1 brother: Mike Fox and wife Jill, and their family, of Agate, Colorado; numerous aunts and uncles including: Roy and Sherry Dawson of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Paul and Patsy Dawson of Salina, Oklahoma, John and Bonnie Husong of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Diane Scrapper of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Ella Jane Dawson of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; many other relatives and a host of friends,

Funeral services were held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at His Way Fellowship in Locust Grove.  Reverend Bill Braden officiated with interment following at the Hogan Cemetery.  Services were entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
