Standingwater was born November 18, 1941 to Willie and Martha (Grass) Standingwater. Frank went home to be with the Lord on March 18,
2005 in his home in Locust Grove,
Frank grew up and spent
happily almost all his life on
Frank was known as
Poncho by friends and family. He
was a kind and generous man who was always happy to help a friend or neighbor. He was an ideal provider; always loving, gentle,
and placing his families needs before his own. His
favorite pastimes were woodworking, drawing, sewing, cooking, and relaxing outdoors. Above
all he loved being with his friends, family, and spoiling his grandkids. Poncho will be missed dearly by all who
knew and loved him. His big heart and sweet
smile will live on in our hearts and memories.
Frank is survived by:
his wife Loretta Standingwater of the home; 1 brother William Standingwater and wife Velma
of Locust Grove; 2sons: Wendell Ragsdale and wife Kelly of Tulsa and David W.
Standingwater and wife Meredith of Locust Grove; 2 daughters: Wendy Sister
Phillips and husband Bryan and Willa Baby Blakley and husband Mark, all of
Locust Grove; 4 grandchildren: Ashton and Autumn Standingwater, Alexis Blakley, and Mayson
Phillips; all of Locust Grove. Also surviving
are numerous close nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and countless friends.
Frank was preceded in
death by his parents Willie and Martha (Grass) Standingwater and dearly missed daughter Wallise Coot Standingwater.
Funeral services were
held at 2 PM Tuesday, March 22, 2005; at the
