1) Who owns Locust Grove Funeral Home?

Locust Grove Funeral Home is owned by Locust Grove Funeral Home, LLC (limited liabilty corporation).  Shawn Bates is the sole member of the LLC.    Along with his wife Melissa, they operate Locust Grove Funeral Home.

2) Is another funeral home owner a partner in Locust Grove Funeral Home?

No.  The Locust Grove Funeral Home was purchased from Rick Stephens and Joe Caldwell.  They sold the business wholly to Shawn and Melissa Bates.    There still remains a close relationship with Rick and Gloria Stephens and Joe Cladwell.  Often times we assist each other with help and will continue to do so.

3) Does this ownership change any pre-arrangements already made?

No.  The Locust Grove Funeral Home will continue to honor all pre-arrangements in place.

4) Will Locust Grove Funeral Home honor burial policies or pre-arrangements from another funeral home?

Yes.  We will continue to honor ALL burial policies.  In fact, we honor these policies and pre-arrangements at no extra or hidden costs to you, even if the originating funeral home is now closed or out-of-business.  Please contact us for more information.
