Marion Ragsdale

Marion Ragsdale was born November 24, 1958, in Warren, Ohio, to Francis and Ellen (Christopherson) Keech.  She departed this life on Tuesday, December 28, 2004, in Leach, Oklahoma, at the age of 46 years, 1 month, and 4 days.

As a child, Marion lived in many cities throughout the United States because of her father’s military service.  She and Tom Ragsdale were united in marriage on February 19, 1988.

Marion worked diligently as a homemaker, as well as outside the home.  She had worked several years for Jim’s Small Engines.   She had been a resident of Rose, Oklahoma, for over 15 years.  Before that, she had lived in Pryor.

Marion was a part of the Rose Community Church.  She enjoyed being outdoors, especially working on flowers in her garden.  Most of all, Marion loved people, always wanting to help those in need.  She will be missed dearly by her family and many friends.

Marion is survived by: her husband:  Tom Ragsdale of the home; 2 sons:  Jacob Calloway of Henrietta, Oklahoma and Chuck Hayes of Omaha, Nebraska; 1 daughter:  Jo Ellen Calloway of Henrietta, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren:  Anna Belle Calloway and Brooklyn Hayes; 1 brother:  Tino Gamboa of Arkansas; 2 sisters:  Paula Showalter of Vinita, Oklahoma and Carol Chadwick of Arkansas; other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her father: Francis Keech; her mother: Ellen Gamboa; and a daughter: Jennifer Ragsdale.

Funeral services were held 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 31, 2004, at the Rose Community Church.  Reverend Galen Branham officiated with interment following at the Elm Grove Cemetery near Rose, Oklahoma.   Services were entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or St. Jude’s Hospital.
