Obituary for

Janie Wolf Goingtosleep

     Funeral services for Janie Wolf Goingtosleep, 75, of Pryor, were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 15, 2000, at the Cornerstone Outreach Church in Locust Grove.  Pastor John Kiddy officiated with interment following in Euwasha Cemetery in Kenwood.  Services were under the direction of the Locust Grove Funeral Home.

 Mrs. Goingtosleep was born July 8, 1925, in Mayes County to Jess and Mary (King) Rogers.  She passed from this life on Thursday, August 10, 2000, in Tulsa.

 She was a lifetime resident of Mayes County.  She grew up and attended school in the Salin area.  She married Coonie Wolf Goingtosleep on July 23, 1941 in Kenwood.  She worked for many years in housekeeping for Mayes County Medical Center, retiring in 1980.  She had been a member of the Ribbon Baptist Church near Spavinaw.

 She enjoyed traveling with her husband after she retired.  She also liked crocheting, quiltmaking, embroidering, and flower gardening.  She enjoyed going to gospel singings and flea markets, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren.

 She is survived by: a son: David and Sharon Wolf of Tucson; daughters: Kamisha and Bill Yeatman of Boatman and Diane and Laney Messer of Locust Grove; sisters Mabel and Daniel Toolate of Oklahoma City, Geneva and Edgar Horsechief of Yale, Okla., and Dollie Rogers of Missouri; brothers Eugene and Loretta Rogers of Tulsa, Jimmy Rogers of Hulbert, and Roy Rogers of Spavinaw; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband Coonie; brothers Wilburn and Joe Rogers; her twin sons; and a nephew, Marvin Toolate.
