Obituary for

Lloyd O. Nantz 

Funeral services for Lloyd O. Nantz, 71, of Locust Grove, were held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 4, 1999, at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Locust Grove, Oklahoma.  Reverend Don Baker and Reverend Johnny Nantz officiated.  Interment followed at Hogan Cemetery near Locust Grove.  Services were under the direction of Locust Grove Funeral Home.  Visitation was held Friday until 9:00 P.M. and Saturday 9:00 A.M. until noon at Locust Grove Funeral Home.

 Mr. Nantz was born August 31, 1928, in Tulsa, to Harley and Ethel (Bryant) Nantz.  He passed from this life on Thursday, September 2, 1999, at his home west of Locust Grove.

 He grew up in Tulsa, where he married Kathleen McCuistion on June 23, 1951.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired Douglas Aircraft machinist.  He enjoyed working on cars in his spare time and always loved the company of his friends and family.  He especially loved being with his kids and grandkids.  He attended the Immanuel Baptist Church in Pryor.

 Lloyd is survived by: his wife Kathleen of the home; 2 daughters: Pam Garrison and husband Steve of Rose and Shelly Wilson and husband Gary of Pryor; 5 grandchildren: Steve Garrison and wife Patty, Jennifer Garrison, Cody Garrison, Cory Wilson, and Derek Wilson; 2 great-grandchildren: Luke Garrison and Sydney Garrison; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 He was preceded in death by: both parents; 2 sisters: Francis Faddis and Dixie Ariza; and 1 brother: George Nantz.
