Clarice Harless

Graveside services for Clarice Harless, age 64, of Pryor, were held at 2:00pm Monday at Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove. Pastor Ken Armstrong officiated, with services under the direction of Locust Grove Funeral Home.

Mrs. Harless was born January 30, 1934 in Ada, to H. Frank and Stella (Odom) Lovelady. She died Thursday, March 26, 1998, in Claremore.

She grew up in Ada, and graduated from Ada High School. She had lived in Pryor since 1974, coming from Canyon, Texas. She married Jim Henry Bayless on March 10, 1977, in Pryor. She retired from Belco Tissue Mills about 10 years ago. She enjoyed reading the Bible and listening to Southern Gospel Music, and she attended the First Baptist Church of Pryor faithfully.

She is survived by 2 sons, Mike Edward Bayless and wife Virginia of Locust Grove, and Eldon Wayne Bayless of Pryor; 3 brothers, Walter Lovelady of Arkansas, Frankie Lovelady of Arizona, and Waylon Lovelady of Oklahoma City; 1 sister, Pauline Whitten of Arkansas; 5 grandchildren, Dovie, Felecia, Clarissa, Alien, and Edna; as well as 4 step-children, Alfred Bayless, Pat Jackson, Donna Goins, and Edna Gruver. She was preceded in death by her parents, 8 brothers, and her husband, Jim Henry Harless.
